ATP are very pleased to announce the sequel to last year's fantastic RELEASE THE BATS Halloween event.
This year the event will take place at the same venue (London's Kentish Town Forum), on All Hallows Eve itself, October 31st, and the lineup so far looks like this:
SHELLAC
OM
WOODEN SHJIPS
PISSED JEANS
+ DJ ANDY WEATHERALL
There is a very special guest to be added to the bill so keep checking back for updates!
Like last year, we'd love it if you could come dressed as something inspired by one of the bands (Perhaps you could simulate some Pissed Jeans? Or arrive in a...Shjip?) or as something spooky to help us with creating the Halloween mood.
The event will have a free flow between the upstairs and downstairs areas of the Forum so that everyone can move about throughout the evening.
Doors on the night will open at 6.30pm, tickets are priced at £22.50 in advance with more to be added to the already shockingly good lineup.

Self Catering accommodation is available in 4, 6 or 7 berths and offers private bathroom, full kitchen facilities and separate lounge area with TV. (£160 + booking fee per ticket, £150 early bird)
As a result of rising site hire fees, we have been forced to increase our ticket price from previous festivals, hence you may notice the small increase in ticket costs.
All tickets include a 3-day festival pass and 3 nights accommodation. Ticket includes performances starting from mid-afternoon, with around 40 acts set to play live across the weekend. There are four pubs and DJ sets through till late, plus three nights in a self-catering chalet or room only accommodation all with private bathroom suites and TV’s.

Okay! This is it. Your last chance to possibly get a chalet for this May’s ATP vs Pitchfork festival. As suggested yesterday, we should be releasing some production holds shortly, and those will definitely be the very last places. Anyone who is interested can add themselves to a waiting list to be the first to get a chance at buying them.
You need to write to feedback@atpfestival.com with "WAITING LIST" in the subject line and we will let you know about the chalets before anyone else gets to hear about it.
In other news, the latest additions to the bill curated by your friends and ours Explosions In The Sky are:
Baltimore indie/dream-poppers BEACH HOUSE
Japanese electro/post-rock artiste world’s end girlfriend
More of course to be announced in the coming weeks, so stay tuned!

We're sorry to have to announce that LIARS have pulled out of both their ATP related performances this May, firstly at our forthcoming London Astoria show on the 14th May featuring BATTLES and FUCK BUTTONS, and also their position on the lineup of the Explosions in The Sky ATP festival. This is due to them securing the main support slot for Radiohead's forthcoming American tour.
Refunds will be available from ticket outlets for the Astoria show to those who want them, but we hope that people will still choose to attend for the unmissable live juggernauts that are Battles and our own glorious Fuck Buttons. A replacement act will be announced soon.

Finally, we're happy to announced that the wonderful Carsick Cars will be playing as support to Dinosaur Jr. at their warmup show for the Explosions festival, which will take place at Camden's Koko on the 15th May.
Two bits of London concert news this morning.
First of all The Silver Mount Zion Orchestra will now play an extra date at the Scala the night before their previously announced show in April. That means they're now playing on the 7th and the 8th of April. They're one of the most idiosyncratic and stunning live bands around, so don't miss the chance to hear material from their rather great new album live.
Second piece of news is that the Boris and Growing show that was set for the 23rd April has moved from the Scala to the University of London Student Union (ULU) on the same night.

We're very pleased to announce the final two additions to the already uber-stellar ATP vs Pitchforkfestival lineup. First off for our side of the bill are legendary Washington DC noise-rock supremos Girls Against Boys. On the Pitchfork side, we have the very hotly tipped newcomer Bon Iver.
The lineup is now complete and we hope that you're as excited as we are. As we said before, chaletsare selling fast so get a move on. Only a few short months to go until May
I don't know why I didn't look here before. ATP are practically my favourite mavericks. The ATP fests both look amazing right now and the PE shows for DOn't Look Back are gonna be incredible. Also, that Liars/Battles/Fuck Buttons triple bill will be one of the best gigs this year if I'm not mistaken...
We're very pleased to announce the return of Alex Chilton's legendary Big Star to London for a date at Shepherds Bush Empire. It will take place on the 28th August, tickets are on sale today and the support comes from the inimitable Robyn Hitchcock.
Another addition to our May lineup of London concerts comes from The Black Angels. The Austin, Texas psych rockers will bring their acclaimed live show to the ICA on the 15th of that month. Tickets on sale today, support to be announced soon.

since cris and curt kirkwood got back together in the band. If you googles ome recent live reviews of their american shows, it sounds like they're pretty brilliant and play a lot of the classics.
