Cazals first caught our eyes at The:Hours’ November 2008 showcase, when the band’s scruffy, addictive garage rock transformed the crowd into a riotous, gleeful jumping mess. We figured that if a) they were the first rock band signed by uber chic Parisian electro label Kitsune and b) they could effortlessly enchant New Yorkers whose open bar had already run early, they were a band to keep an eye on. Indeed, the English lads’ new debut album What of Our Future (released March 3rd on The:Hours) proves to be an instant elixir of energy with a heavy load of catchy, riff-heavy pop tracks. New Yorkers can see for themselves this Friday 10:30 pm at Webster Hall in NYC (word to the wise, bring earplugs). Otherwise, feel free to let loose to this cheeky, stream-of-conscious pop track, "Somebody, Somewhere."
Sounds Like: The Rakes, The Strokes, The Lovvers, The Paddingtons
